Synth metal is a musical genre which draws elements from electronica music, synth music and heavy metal music. Synth metal music is usually centered around metal guitar riffs and pop synthesizer/sequencer lines, heavily distorted, very high to low pitched guitars, as well as extreme vocals, but in some instances can have clean vocals. Synth metal encompasses elements of industrial metal, new wave and techno.
