[edit] Re: Crystal habit
Thanks for pointing that out to me.. the article certainly needs work. I've rewritten some of it and added both explanatory paragraphs and more terms (including massive). I think the terms should all be condensed into a table for neatness, with a description and at least one example for each: I'll do this next. Still needs more explanation (as I've done it all from memory), which I'll try to get to ASAP. As for linking "massive" where appropriate, I agree, and will get to that lastly. :)
Anyway, I think you've made some great additions so far, e.g. your restructuring of quartz and technical details at cabochon. It pains me to mention this, but, it seems you've duplicated tiger's eye to some extent at tigers eye. Could you see if there's anything you could merge with the former? Once that's done I think tigers eye should be turned into a redirect.
It's very nice to have another gem enthusiast to collaborate with. I hope you stick around! :) Hadal 07:16, 21 Jan 2004 (UTC)
- Hi.. I went ahead and made tigers eye a redirect to tiger's eye. I don't think there was anything to merge; I hope you don't mind. Hadal 03:56, 28 Jan 2004 (UTC)
Hi there. Sorry about the tardy response - for some reson the system didn;t flag up your first message. At least, that I recall. Anyway, looks good. Looks like my spelling got me into trouble over the tiger's eye, but you're absolutly right there.
I got side tracked on ceramics, but I'll be back with the rocks soon. Syntax 17:17, 28 Jan 2004 (UTC)
[edit] rocks and minerals project
Since you've contributed in the rocks and minerals area before, wanted to let you know that I created a WikiProject Rocks and Minerals if you'd like to join. Elf 05:04, 5 Feb 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Ceramics and Pottery
Noticed your entry on the Ceramics talk page. Over on the Pottery talk page, we have begun to discuss a clay/ceramics "tree" structure to better organize clay related articles. It's a very broad topic, and current organization and categories can make it difficult to retrieve information. I, for one, plan on adding a significant number of new articles in the future. Please join in our discussion. Your technical background would be a real asset. Comments welcome. WBardwin 04:55, 24 Jun 2005 (UTC)
