Catch Me if You Can is a comedy and a love story. It is set in 1963. Frank Abagnale is played by Leonardo DiCaprio. Frank is sixteen years old. Carl Hanratty is played by Tom Hanks. Carl is an FBI investigator. Frank spent Christmas with his father and mother. His mother lived in the village Mont - de Marson in the south of France. His father was a very successful businessman. He was examined for tax evasion and in vain he tried to save his business with another loan. The family had to move to a small house. Frank surprised his mother with his father's friend. His parents got divorced. Frank prefered to escape from his house. He changed his name. He bought a pilot uniform and forged a pilot licence. He travelled with PanAm company to many countries. He paid with forged cheques in the USA. Frank worked as a doctor. He forged the documents. In the hospital he met a girl. Later Frank passed an exam in law. For a moment he worked as a lawyer, so that he could marry the girl from the hospital. Carl Hanratty came to the wedding. The girl's dad saw Carl and asked him what he wanted. Carl revealed who Frank is. In the meantime Frank told his wife the truth about his life and what he had done. Carl searched all the house, but Frank was away. Frank Abagnale escaped and lived in Mont - de Marson with his mother for a while. On Christmas Day Carl Hanratty knocked on the door and he told Frank that he was arrested. Frank went quietly with Carl. When Frank left the jail, he worked with Carl Hanratty.
