El Niño-Southern Oscillation

El Niño-Southern Oscillation, ENSO in short, is a term describing a natural event. This is a natural event, and occurs in the Pacific Ocean. The terms El Niño and La Niña also describe this natural event. El Nino and La Nina are English language words for El Niño and La Niña. The terms El Niño' and La Niña are words of the Spanish language. In Spanish language they mean the "little boy" and the "little girl". But, these terms have very different meaning than the word-by-word translation in English language as the little boy and the little girl. The event describes the temperature changes in surface waters of tropical Pacific Ocean.
