Landkreis Limburg-Weilburg

The Landkreis-Limburg-Weilburg is a district in Hesse, Germany. Capital is Limburg a.d. Lahn. Bordering districts are Lahn-Dill-Kreis, Hochtaunuskreis and Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis in Hesse and both Rhein-Lahn-Kreis and Westerwaldkreis in Rhineland-Palatinate.

The Lankreis Limburg-Weilburg lies between the highlands of Taunus and Westerwald. Large parts of the district are taken by the valley of the river Lahn, which flows through the district from northeast to southwest.

Through the district goes the ICE-connection Frankfurt-Cologne. Also there is the Bundesautobahn (equal to a highway) A3 linking Frankfurt and Cologne. Other important roads are the B8, B49 and B54.
