An owl is a bird. Owls are good hunters, they use their far vision to hunt small mammals, insects, and other birds, usually at night. (Many owls can also hunt by sound in total darkness.) Some kinds of owl also eat fish.
An owl is a shy bird. It lives alone and flies only at night. It has sharp claws and a hooked beak. It usually sleeps during the day and wakes up at night to catch its prey.
