Rapid City, South Dakota

Rapid City is the second-largest city in the U.S. state of South Dakota. It is in the western part of the state, and on the eastern edge of the Black Hills. Rapid City is the county seat of Pennington County.
It is a good starting point for the area around it, which is a tourist area. Local tourist sites include Mount Rushmore, the Black Hills, the Badlands, and Custer State Park.
