I'm sorry for not speaking your language. This is an one-man project vanity page. This man is trying the same thig at different wiki's referring to other wiki's. on the dutch wiki we had him to. He's using unfair methods, such as sockpuppets and media attention that is at least unclear. My advice? Remove. nl:gebruiker:Migdejong 26 februari 2006 kl.23.33 (CET)

This dutchmen is a non-neutral wikipedian who tries to influence people to delete the article based on his own dislike of the phenomenon. He should not be taken seriously and I hope the wikipedia communion undertakes action to stop his biased influence on various topics. If you really want to know the truth, follow the discussion on the english wikipedia where Icelanders are telling an entirely different story. The afrikaanse wikipedians have already taken notice of this scandalous way in which midge de jong tries to manipulate various wikipedias on his own. Maximiliaan

Well, as the user above said: it's a one-man project. It's started by a Belgian , Jef Braeckmans... (he uses some Icelandic name too). He's also the author of the article here, and simultaneously on dozens of other wikipedians (we still don't know how he managed all those translations, some translations were rather bad however). Mostly he posts and edits anonymously, however on the dutch wiki (NL), he used different registered usernames... for using them as en:Sockpuppets for trying to influence removal requests on the article. He is effectively the same person as the second anonymous user above, who called himself Maximiliaan (one of his sockpuppet login names on nl-wiki, he has signed with the same IP on en-wiki as both Maximiliaan and as the creator of the language however). Anyhow, I agree with Mig de Jong above, that this article qualifies as en:WP:VANITY... if the topic ís relevant, an neutral user should write about it, not the creator of the language. And his history doesn't help him either: use of sockpuppets, using wikipedia for personnal publicity, some aggressive manipulation discussions and nonsense of him have been found on usenet or forums i believe. He even continues his manipulation here as you see... he calls Migdejong "non-neutral"... well, I wonder what he calls himself, as creator of the language... His aggressive tone comes to surface in his last sentence: accusing Migdejong of "scandalous manipulation"... well , as far as I now Migdejong does everything according to the rules, he isn't the one using manipulation...

In short: if the subject of the article itself should be included in wikipedia is unclear at the moment... Hówever, it ís written by the author of the language himself and he's really abusing wikipedia for his personal promotion and using manipulation/sockpuppets/whatever... In my opinion, this article should be removed, and if it's really valid for being included on wikipedia, some neutral other user (not a sockpuppet) user should write something about it... The Dutch wikipedians Migdejong and Bessel Decker are using unfair tatics themselves. They send messages to every wikipedia to influence people to remove the article why Icelanders on the English wikipedia almost unanimously vote for keep. There is a language movement. I compile words made by Icelanders of the movement. Since half a year it is a project of several icelanders and the number of sympathisants and cooperators is growing quickly. Maximiliaan

Migdejong and Bessel are longtime, honest and experienced wikipedia users, you now the problems by this sort of en:WP:VANITY articles, and they're just warningall other wiki's for your practices; since submitting the article on different language wiki's is an essential part of you tactic to "prove" how relevant the subject is... ("see, it has dozens of wiki-translations, and thousands of google hits" (were of course all wiki-translations are yours, and most of the google hits are the many wiki-clons)... Högisländska borde presenteras som ett projekt, ett språkligt (poetiskt eller subversivt) experiment, manifesterat huvudsakligen i en ordlista på internet, som ett fåtal isländska språkamatörer intresserat sig för. Inget av orden i artikeln är i allmänt bruk. Någon text skriven på högisländska verkar inte existera. "Språket" är en ordlista eller en förteckning över isländska lånord med inhemska alternativförslag (vissa nyuppfunna, vissa föreslagna av äldre språkvårdare, men aldrig tagna i bruk). Bara framtiden kan utvisa om något ord blir på något sätt bekant för islänningar i allmänhet. I bästa fall kan vissa av orden låta poetiska för islänningar, precis som det isländska ordet "vägabrev" för "pass" låter poetiskt för svenskar. I värsta fall är orden lika konstiga för islänningar som det svenska låtsas-norska ordet "gulebøj" för "banan" är för norrmän. Om artikeln inte raderas och kontroversen kring artikeln lägger sig kan man tänka sig en bearbetning av artikeln i den riktningen. --Jeff 2 mars 2006 kl.16.55 (CET)
