Diskussion:Louis Antoine Francois Baillon
Wikipedia
His father, a lawyer and correspondent of Muséum national d'histoire naturelle, introduced him to natural history. Baillon himself worked for the Muséum 1798-9 as an assistant.
When he failed to obtain a position as a priest, he became a correspondent of the Muséum as well. He is particularly noted for his Cetacea skeletons and as the author of a monograph on the fauna of Abbeville.
