Mikesha ni ndege wa familia Turdidae amboa ni wadogo na wanono. Rangi yao kuu ni rangi ya kahawia na madoa meupe na meusi; wengine wana rangi ya machungwa au nyekundu na wengine ni weusi. Hula wadudu hasa lakini wanaweza kula wanyama wadogo wengine, kama koa. Wengi wanaweza kuimba vizuri sana.
