[edit] Big gap
It seems a little funny that there's nothing between the 7th century and the 20th century... AnonMoos 02:51, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, its cuz Invisible Woman created a huge spher while Mister Fantastic froze time, so they had no chance to comunicate with the outer world. Its quite sad :( --Striver 12:35, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Editing without reading
I do wish that Striver had actually read the edits that I'd made before adding his own. For example the article clearly states that Taif capitulated to the Ottoman Empire on 17 July 1517, so why is there a heading for the Ottoman Empire that begins with 1299. At that time the Ottoman "Empire" was just a tiny beylik in the north-eastern corner of Anatolia, and it was not until the 16th century that it turned its direction towards the Hījaz. The second point is that Hashemite control over the city lasted until 1924, once again something that is easy to see in the article. Bukalemun3 06:18, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
It's interesting how much attention Taif's been given on Wikipedia compared to other Saudi cities. The article still needs work though. Slackerlawstudent 03:33, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
