Talk:Taegukgi (film)

[edit] Original Title
Don't know how much this matters, but the original title is listed as Taegeukgi Hwinallimyeo here, yet on iMdb it's listed as Taegukgi hwinalrimyeo - slight diff in spelling. Gram 13:50, 13 September 2005 (UTC)
-It's interchangable. R's and L's are pretty much the same in Korean. Thus it can really go either way.
[edit] Mistake
It seems that there had been an error in the sypnosis. Jin-tae didn't join the North Korean but was captured and was had already went crazy at the time. I've edited that portion. -- HistoryManiac
- I think its is not very clear in the film weather he was captured or if he joined voluntarily. To me, it looks like he is wearing either POW clothes or a very dirty North Korean jacket that he must have been issued by the anti-communist officers when he was arrested. But you're right, he was going crazy at the time so it open to interpretation. --eelwerdna 6 July 2006

- Even with the confused plotting, it is clear that Jin-tae really did join the North Koreans heart and broken soul. Until of course his brother is in trouble then he changes sides yet again. The movie from the point that Young-shin was taken as a "communist" a bunch of plot holes one could drive a whole war through. Early one in the movie I was engrossed, but the ending utterly broke my suspension of disbelief. MichaelSH 01:21, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Plot or Synopsis?
What are we calling the plot section? Is it still called Plot, or have we moved on to using Synopsis? I seem to remember a discussion on the WP Film pages somewhere, but I can't find it and can't remember the consensus. Geoff B 22:31, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
