Taiwan serow (Capricornis swinhoei) is a small bovid live on Taiwan island.

It's body leigth is 80 to 114 centimeters and weigh 25 - 35 kilograms. It's short tail is 6.5 centimeters long. It's color is dark tan with yellow spots on the jaw, throat and nape. Both sex bear horns that curve slightly backward.

Taiwan serow live in mountainous area of Taiwan island. It can be found at an elevation of 200 meters, but is mostly seen at 1000 meters or higher.

It is the only native bovid of Taiwan. It is usually active at dawn and twilight. It feed on a variety of wild plants. They are solitary and very territorial. They are very agile on rock surface.

Their estrus is in October to November. The female is pregnant for about 7 month and usually have one baby.

The main threats to Taiwan serow is habitat destruction and harvesting.
