Tara is a town and Local Government Area in the Darling Downs region of Queensland, Australia, located 300 kilometres south west of the state capital, Brisbane. Important industries in the area around Tara include wheat, beef and wool.
Attractions in Tara include Southwood National Park, a remnant area of the southern brigalow belt.
