Tarnowskie Góry

Tarnowskie Góry (German: Tarnowitz) is a town in south Poland with 61,642 inhabitants (2005).
Situated in the Silesian Voivodship (since 1999), previously in Katowice Voivodship (1975-1998). It is the seat of Tarnowskie Góry County.
Linguist Jan Miodek and former footballer Józef Wandzik are two notable people born in the town.
