Hi, I'm Ben and I'm a first year student at McMaster University in Hamilton, studying science. I like the idea of being able to practice my writing skills on encyclopedia articles, and I love debate, which makes this a great project to contribute to.

I don't want to bore you with details of my life. I am not going to write an autobiography here. If you really want to get to know more about me, let me know on my discussion page and I might give you my email address.
In a nutshell: I was born in Montreal and I consider that to be my home. I currently live in Mississauga and, like previously mentioned, study science at McMaster University. I will update my specialization when the time comes.
[edit] Hobbies
- Music - Music is one of my favourite things in the world and I consider it to be a passion of mine. I consider myself to be an audiophile. I listen to all different kinds of music, with the exceptions being: country, techno, pop and hip-hop.
- Guitar - I have been playing the guitar for 3 years now and am self-taught. I admire almost all guitar players, although I pretty much idolize the following: Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Jimi Hendrix, and John Petrucci.
- Coins - I also collect coins, although this has been put on hold for my undergraduate career, being that it is a very expensive hobby.
[edit] Contributions
- McMaster Science Society article
- Minor editing here and there. I'm pretty good at finding grammar mistakes and cleaning up long and disorganized phrases.
I want to write articles on some of my interest areas. I'll see what happens. It will be easier for me as I gain practice and I specialize further in my field, as well as progress in my education.
[edit] Little Trivia Facts
This section will be devoted to little things I have noticed around Wikipedia, for which I can comment on myself. I will state the trivia/fact and then provide a link to the article which talks about it. You may need to visit the discussion page for these articles to truly understand some of these. They are just fun little tidbits which might give some more insight into the person that I am.
- People who supervise exams are called invigilators and not proctors. Canadian English
- I went through grades 1-12 in school and not 1st-12th grade. Also, I am a first-year at McMaster, not a freshman. Canadian English
