Tavish Scott

Tavish Scott (born 6 May 1966) is a Scottish Liberal Democrat politician, heir to the Garth Estate, Member of the Scottish Parliament for Shetland, and Minister for Transport.
Tavish Scott holds a BA from Napier College (now Napier University) and on graduating worked as a Parliamentary assistant to Jim Wallace, then MP for Orkney and Shetland. Prior to entering the Scottish Parliament he was a farmer and served on the Lerwick Harbour Trust.
He used to be a junior member of the Scottish Executive responsible for finance and public services, but Following Nicol Stephen's election as party leader and succession as Deputy First Minister of Scotland, Tavish Scott was appointed Minister for Transport in the Scottish Executive.
