Tawfiq Il-Nimri

Tawfiq Nimri (Arabic: توفيق نمري) was a Jordanian singer and composer.
He was the first Jordanian to write, sing, and compose Jordanian folkloric music. It is estimated that 750 of his songs were sung by him and others. He is considered to be the pioneer of folkloric Jordanian music and has had much of his work performed by different artists across the Arab world.
