My interests are:
- to lead a happy life: family first, Go second.
Go, also known as Wéiqí in Mandarin Chinese 圍棋; 围棋and Baduk in Korean, is a very strategic, deterministic, zero-sum two-player board game of highest complexity despite the very few rules, originating in ancient China, before 200 BC. The game is now popular throughout East Asia and on the Internet. The object of the game is to place stones so they control a larger board territory than one's opponent, while preventing them from being surrounded and captured by the opponent. About 30 Mio. people play Go worldwide.
In Go I hold a 3 dan, ELO ≈ 2300 points. This makes me an average club player in China, Korea and Japan.
Interests come sometimes in (long) waves which also can ebb away: Philosophy, economics, options, literature ... only Go stays.
These are the actual levels, French and Chinese were much better a decade ago (certificates avancé resp. medium level). en-4 and nl-4 refer here to oral levels ("speaks") hence, I assigned a "4".
Papiamento is a language which I would to learn - and use ! - in the future.
- Where? In the Caribbeans of course.
