Teal also called teal blue is a medium to dark greenish blue color of low saturation; a dark cyan.
This color gets its name from the color surrounding the eyes of the common teal, a member of the duck family.[2]
The first recorded use of Teal as a color name in English was in 1917. [3]
In Windows 95, Windows 98 etc., teal is the standard background color.
