[edit] Starting Article
I'm sorry, I couldn't think of much more. Can someone help me, especially by checking my facts on when the channel has been on-air since? ilyanep 23:27 17 Jun 2003 (UTC)
- You could put down what country it airs on. I've never seen it here in the uk Theresa knott 16:44 18 Jun 2003 (UTC)

- I should do that, shouldn't I. ilyanep 16:58 18 Jun 2003 (UTC)
[edit] Article Revamped
Wow, I owe Minesweeper a few Wikis. ilyanep 17:38 18 Jun 2003 (UTC)
- Thanks, I appreciate the gesture. By the way, someone who gets TechTV should mention that Wikipedia was recently featured on the network. (My cable provider carried it for a few years back when it was new, but dropped it a year ago for some reason.) -- Minesweeper 18:17 18 Jun 2003 (UTC)

- I have it on satelite. BTW, that's how I found wikipedia ;) ilyanep 18:21 18 Jun 2003 (UTC)
[edit] "Silicon Spin"
What was "Silicon Spin" about anyways? Ilyanep 13:56, 1 Sep 2003 (UTC)
- It ha John_c_dvorak ("I get no SPAM") and was a round table for tech-business discussions.--x1987x 01:33, 9 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Comcast merger
Anyone know what to do about the (now complete) merger? I think this should be moved to G4TechTV, but the content also needs to be rewritten. --Random|832 06:32, 16 Jun 2004 (UTC)
- I think this could be moved to G4TechTV and make this a redirect. Ilyanep 17:29, 16 Jun 2004 (UTC)
- TechTV had a rich history and even after the merger continues to have a huge following. This will remain a seperate article
[edit] Merging
Do we need to merge G4 (television) and TechTV into G4TechTV? OR do we let them be? (Please Respond on This talk page to keep it in one place.Ilyanep 17:54, 18 Jun 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Old Casts on IMDB
You can find the old TechTV shows and their old casts in the Internet Movie Database[1]. Michaela Pereira, Victoria Recaño and Jennifer London - previous personalities on TechLive have no wikis yet.--x1987x 02:10, 9 October 2005 (UTC)
I think Kevin Rose has left the G4 tv network
- Wasn't this a while ago? I think he works for Digg (or at least that's what I heard on TWIT)— Ilyanep (Talk) 02:36, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
- Victoria Recaño page is now up. :) --Elonka 19:23, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] i miss techtv!!!
techtv was awsome. why did they have to take it off. :( i miss those good old days. just looking at the pictures of the old cast makes me cry. jk.
[edit] Production Values
Can we mention that techtv and zdtv had much higher production values than g4tv? TechTV > G4
- Probably not, as that is not really as much quantifiable statement of fact but rather more opinion, although I do agree with you on that point. Marc Hudson 20 October 2006 09:05 AM CST
[edit] Rapid loss of viewership
Why is there no mention at all of what the viewership of G4 was versus TechTV, and what this "merger" did to the viewership of TechTV? I get the feeling that Comcast wouldn't want it widely known that they took a channel with a massive viewership and turned it into a channel with a relatively miniscule viewership in the space of four months flat. Certainly it's a notable fact of the merger--that they attempted to buy a successful tech channel and then run it the way they had been running their own tech channel, only to find that no one wants to watch what that makes. (umm... "gamers" with deep tans? Puh-lease.)
- If you can find measurable statistics then I'm sure that no one would have a problems. Nielsen ratings would be a good place to start looking for that, although I'm not sure where exactly to get charts that go that deep on the channel lists. Normally you have to be a paying member of the Nielsen journalism group. Marc Hudson 20 October 2006 09:09 CST
- Yeah, they pretty much screwed themselves over. Maybe some small article buried in the archives of some major news site... or if G4TV publishes their viewer information... Ahanix1989 03:22, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] KTQW OTA Broadcast
Someone in another TechTV related article was asking about a clarification on OTA broadcasting of the network, so I've added a section on KTQW, the only TechTV affiliate. -SHARD 05:27, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] History
Where are the references for the history section? I believe that the statement: Vulcan Ventures first invested in ZDTV in November 1998, acquiring a one-third interest from Ziff-Davis. is inaccurate because CNET News.com saids that Vulcan Ventures bought 64 percent stake in ZDTV, not one thirds [2][3] --Nhlarry 00:23, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
