Talk:Technosexual

[edit] Update
I have added the definition of "technosexual" that relates to robot fetishism. I believe that this was the original meaning of the term, but I have no references to cite. Both definitions are rather obscure though, so judging by the most popular results on google, I've made my definition the latter one. Robotman1974 13:24, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
- Perfect. I added an image that reflects this original definition. --Loremaster 12:11, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] disassociation from metrosexual
I disagree that technosexual is a portmanteau word combining "technophile" and "metrosexual".
Instead technosexual is an alternative urban lifestyle distict and not part of metrosexuality.
A technosexual would go to the science museum
A metrosexual would go to the Tate modern.
both would drink latte and eat organic food.
As i understand its usage, both terms derive from Heterosexual and not one from the other.
both t. and m. sexuals are modern men living urban lives but m. is more artistic and t. is more boy's toys

- You would be wrong since a technophile heterosexual and a technophile metrosexual are two different things, and the latter best describes what a technosexual is. --Loremaster 12:10, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hak5
I think "Technolust" should be redirected to "Hak5", because Hak5's slogan is "Trust Your Technolust". Someone might search Wikipedia for "Technolust", get this article, and it can be very misleading to what Hak5 means by it.
The actual article Technosexual should be left alone.
- OK. --Loremaster 12:10, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
