Telephonies is the first part of the 6th episode The Powerpuff Girls season 1. It first aired on December 23, 1998
[edit] Synopsis
The Gangrene Gang makes prank phone calls all over the city, inculding Proffesor Utonium. After Big Billy makes a really bad crank call the gang decides to crank call the mayor as Ms. Bellum, and sneak into his office. In his office, the gang calls the PPG and say that Mojo Jojo is trying to destroy the city. The girls fight Mojo although he has done nothing, and leave embarrassed. The same thing happened with Fuzzy Lumpkins, when he was taking a bath. The third time Blossom asks the mayor if he was sure, and the gang answers with yes it's him. The girls fly in and see Him excersicing to a work out video. All three villains talk about what happenned to them, and decide to complain to the Mayor, but The Gangrene Gang answers (Billy) and tells them their plan. Moments later, the villains enter the room and beat the Gangreen Gang up. Meanwhile, The Mayor comes in and sees them fighting. He calls the girls, but they do not believe him after all of those crank calls.

- When The Mayor plays golf, his eye (the one not covered by his glasses) opens.
- At the end of the episode, the powerpuff hotline is destroyed, yet it is fine in the next episodes.
- This marks the first time the narrator says that "...the day is saved thanks to..." about someone other that the Powerpuff girls.
- Fuzzy Lumpkins appears naked in this episode, but he calls it "Birthday suit".
- When Mojo comes in to fight the Gangreen gang he carries a weapon, but he doesn't use it.
