Temple Mountain Ski Area
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Temple Mountain Ski Area was a downhill, or alpine, ski area in southern New Hampshire, United States, that operated from 1938 until 2001. Like many other small ski areas in the country, it closed due to poor weather, rising costs and changing recreational habits. It was located on the north face of Temple Mountain, on Route 101, straddling the border of Temple and Peterborough.
As of 2006, it is owned by a couple living in Temple, who are leading a drive to have the roughly 350-acre resort made part of the New Hampshire state park system. It is traversed by the Wapack Trail, a two-state hiking trail.
