Terry Foster

Terry Foster (born February 12, 1959) was born and raised in Detroit and attended Central Michigan University. He is a Detroit News sports writer.
He co-hosts a show with Mike Valenti, called The Sports Inferno, on WXYT(1270 AM) a sports radio station in Detroit, Michigan. Terry recently co-wrote the book The Great Detroit Sports Debate with fellow Detroit writer Drew Sharp.
He began his writing career in 1982 with The Detroit Free Press, while still in High School. He stayed with the Free Press until 1988. From 1988-1994, he was the Pistons beat writer for The Detroit News during the Bad Boys era. During that time he also covered Michigan football, golf, tennis and auto racing. Foster has covered several Super Bowls, World Series, NBA Finals, Stanley Cup Finals, 1996 Summer Olympics, and Wimbledon. Foster has also been an on-air radio contributor in Detroit and worked at The Detroit Free Press and the Grand Rapids Press.
Currently, he is a sports columnist for the Detroit News and writes a weekly Pistons column for Pistons wrap. He also provides sports commentary on the Fox Sports Report on Mondays and Fridays. Foster also owns a business at Lakeside Mall in Sterling Heights, MI.
He earned his journalism degree from Central Michigan University.

He once was a bartender/cook at the legendary Lindell A.C. in downtown Detroit.

He resides in West Bloomfield with his wife Adrienne aka "Abs", daughter Celine and son Brandon aka "Little 'B'". He was a huge supporter of both Marc Spindler and John Lund, his co-workers at WXYT, and was saddened when the "S&L Morning Show" was cancelled.
