Best of Joan Baez: The Millennium Collection was Universal's Joan Baez installment in their Twentieth Century Masters series. The compilation focuses on Baez' A&M recordings, with the bulk of material coming from her Come from the Shadows and Diamonds & Rust albums. While generally regarded as a solid representation of Baez' mid-period singer-songwriter work from the 1970s, there were no new tracks or previously unreleased songs included.
