hayadel's critique of Deglr6328 decision to modify the image: I don't think that the image should have been edited. Personally, I find the colors are too blue and do not accurately represent the real colors. For instance look at northern africa. I see a blue desert in the new photo, where as the old photo, : Image:The Earth seen from Apollo 17.jpg , had a desert that had desert colors. The clouds are now blue, not white or grey. Look at other photographs from space and you will find that your modification is a drop in quality.
- My own opinion is that both pictures need to be color corrected. The original photo has too much violet and the new version has too much cyan. - furrykef (Talk at me) 14:39, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- I think the original image is much closer to reality than the color corrected version, and is good enough without modification. Pulling a tiny bit of red out so the clouds read white may be helpful but not really necessary, but the blue/green gain in the color corrected image is detrimental. - Kjl 28 June 2005 23:45 (UTC)
- In the original version the oceans were black instead of the more common blue. When the image was adjusted to make the oceans blue everything else in the globe was given a blue tint, including the white clouds. Seano1 03:27, 13 November 2005 (UTC)

- My opinion is that it is little bit to green, but I've got to admit, it looks much better than the original version. Kamope · talk · contributions 22:39, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
