[edit] Plot summary
Norman Bates is once again having mother trouble. This time he is invited to share memories of his mother with a radio talk show host, Fran Ambrose. After the death of his father, Norman and his mother lived alone together in a very unhealthy state of interdependence. When Norman was a teenager, his mother took a lover, making him insanely jealous. He murdered them with strychnine and preserved his mother's corpse. But Norman fears that he may kill again, for his wife is pregnant with his child and Norman cannot let another of his "cursed line" loose in the civilized world.
