Talk:The Mastermind of Mirage Pokémon
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I concider The Mastermind of Mirage Pokemon to be a special rather than a normal episode if that's ok. Cabby2 00:53, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The voices suck
I want the normal voice actors not these newbies. they all sound like they talk throguh their noses, may sounds like a woman not a ten year old. Misty is the only one that sounds like herself, but it changes in pitch, and the voice actor sucks for not staying in tone. Yami 14:34, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
- I'm guessing it's airing right now where you live? I get it in three hours, can't wait to see what they did to it... -- RattleMan 14:42, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

I missed this special. Not everybody's a newbie. Take Mona Marshall for example. She's been the voice of Izzy on this show's rival Digimon. I'm surprised to see some Saban VA's in this mix. At least they kept Jimmy Zoppi. BTW, when will it repeat? 71.111.215.224 22:00, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
--- I agree; I'm a big fan of Pokémon and I hate what they did to the voice cast. I'm never going to get used to it, because these "sound-alikes" sound nothing like the originals to me.... but anyway, it says in the article that Articuno, Entei, etc. are introduced in this special. They've been in the show before. Some of them were only in the movies, so if it means for an episode/special it makes sense, but even so ones like Articuno have been in episodes before. And also, can you really say they were even featured in it, seeing as they were only Mirage Pokémon? Toadette Fan 01:52, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
I've thought about it. It IS terrible. I could never imagine Max being the type of character Ms. Marshall often voices. But, she is a veteran. Then again, so were all the others. If it were up to me, I'd bring back everybody else and redo the special. 71.111.215.224 13:29, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
I heard the voices myself and I agree with you. Ash sounded a lot like Rudolph, so did Max. Meowth just didn't sound the same. Thank goodness they kept Itake Okani (Pikachu). That seems to be the only thing they kept. After All, Pikachu's voice recorded many times. Do you imagine what will happened if they gonna replace pikachu's voice actor? 71.111.215.224 20:00, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] cleanup notice and image orientation change
Okay, this article's a mess. It doesn't look like a proper entry, for one, which I'll provide some fixes for later. Next, the formatting consists mostly of lists, where you could better use tables and such. Also, there's little to tell the reader the essential background history of the special episode. --Tetsuya-san (talk : contribs) 22:12, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
- In addition to my statements as I lacked time to state, lacks the tone of a Wikipedia article. Little text and bloated lists are one example. There is, also, little information for readers on it. --Tetsuya-san (talk : contribs) 05:57, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Cast Credits
Everywhere on Wikipedia, it says that the same person was played by different actors. Which article has the right (proper) cast? 68.166.230.66 18:38, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
I don't know which cast is right. 71.111.215.224 22:29, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
It seems a lot of the credits were copied off of ANN, which has inconsistent information on the new VA's, some of which looks to be blatantly wrong (I highly doubt Melissa Fahn is in this, as this is an NY-recorded dub). The only reputable looking list I've found is from CrystalAcids, which is a site I know to check information being entered in carefully. Unless there's an official source confirming who's who in the main VA cast I think it would be better to delete VA listings that may be the result of inaccurate guesswork. --EmperorBrandon 18:41, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
Just to let you guys know, these are the only people who provided voices in the special based on the credits on Kids' WB's airing of the special:
Actors are first followed by my well thought out guesses on the right:
Billy Beach, Ash/Max
Michelle Knotz, Misty/May
Rodger Parsons, Prof. Oak/Meowth
Bill Rogers, Brock
Billy Regan, Dr. Yung/Mirage Master
Jamie Peacock, James
Diane Stillwell, Jessie
Ikue Ohtani, Pikachu
Phillip Bartlett (uncredited), Narrator
Pokémon's recording archive
What do you think? As for the narrator, my brother and I are very sure it's the old narrator. I don't have a clue who voiced Jenny and Joy though. Cabby2 20:22, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] This page is still a mess
It's looking a little better, but still, we don't need a point-by-point recap of every tiny little thing that happened, just a general summary. I'd rewrite it, but that's a lot of work. Anyone up for it? -- Lampbane 02:17, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
- It's been needing a cleanup for a long time, actually. The recap is a problem, but the Cast List degrades the quality of the article even more. Cleanup notices have been added, and then removed / ignored. It's not tolerable. --Tetsuya-san (talk : contribs) 00:00, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
- Do you think we should just remove the cast list for now? People will continue to fight over it and this one guy is using unsourced statements like crazy, I think it really drags things down. -- Lampbane 00:57, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] CPM had nothing to do with this special
Central Park Media has absolutely NOTHING to do with the special. It was TAJ Productions who dubbed it and Pokemon USA who produced it. Period. -- Lampbane 20:22, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
