I've added to it since two new songs are on their myspace site - seems to have sparked more reunion rumouring. Porterjoh 12:06, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

Despite what Gittleman posted on the Myspace page, the two songs he put up are NOT new or unreleased. It's not like they got back together and recorded new music. I read the post. He didn't insinuate anything about a reunion of any type. JohnBWatt 11:39, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

If the songs are unrelased, tell me how I've had them on my iPod for the past year. They may not have been on a full length CD but they HAVE been previously released. Chocolate Pudding was the b-side to the "Kinder Words" single back in 1994 and even appears on the Japanese edition of Question the Answers. "Meaning" is featured as a bonus track on the vinyl edition of Pay Attention. Rare tracks? Maybe, but they're hardly unreleased. JohnBWatt 12:31, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

No attitude was intended. Sorry to hear you decided to take it that way. I've only stated the facts. I know that's what Gittleman said and I explained that he was wrong the first time I made the edit. I doubt, with the amount of music the band released, his ability to remember what non-album tracks got released and what ones didn't. JohnBWatt 15:32, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

Any time one of the former band members acknowledges the band, it seem to spark hopes of a reunion and from there comes the rumors. Nobody is debating that but Gittleman saying he hopes to see everyone soon, or however he phrases it, does not lend any real merit to there actually being a reunion. It just seems to be him saying that he'll eventually see everyone again with whatever his next project or band may be. To add people misinterpretations of his statement only fuels the rumors of a reunion. JohnBWatt 17:22, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

I don't know. I love them and even know some of them personally, but once a band breaks up, it's pretty much over. I'd love to see them play a show here or there but I think the magic it would take for them to tour and make albums like they did, is gone. I'm happy with the material they left behind. People jumping on every mention of the band as a possible reunion gets kind of annoying. JohnBWatt 18:03, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

For such an influential band, the page should be longer.

I will expand it when I am able to find the time.

As mentioned below, I'm working on a much more detailed version of the article, offline. I'm currently up to the Question the Answers era and should be done soon. I'd post what I have already but there would be too much of a gap between what I have and the hiatus era already posted. John

Jacknife737, it's absolutely worth mentioning. That's why it's already in the article. Look for the line... "He was also the host of the "Mighty Morning Show" on Los Angeles radio's Indie 103.1 FM until his dismissal in March of 2006"

As far as it leading to a reunion, people on a message board, wondering if the Bosstones are reuniting as a result, is hardly a source for speculation on a reunion as the two have nothing to do with each other. John

Unfortunately, Side One has no actual content on the band, and MySpace and random fan sites are not really appropriate wikipedia links. --Matt 04:31, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

I'm not adding them back but sometimes MySpace pages and fan sites are the only sources left though for information on bands that have broken up. I don't see a big problem with the additions and have seen many entries with them. In fact, many bands are using MySpace pages as their official sites now. In the case of the Bosstones though, I think it's safe to say that nobody from the band is running it themselves, as the band doesn't even exist at this point. I'm staying out of the editing of the links but just wanted to throw my two cents in. John

Nofx, The Offspring, Rage Against the Machine all have fan pages listed under the external links. Secondly The Side One Dummy Page has tour information, booking info, ect The band has not broken up, therefore there is potential for additional information to be added. Side One Dummy is also the bands current official website it even mentions it under the Hiatus section of the article, so it should be there. As well there was a link to the bands letter to the fans with regards to their hiatus, that was located at punknews.org a credible site. So could someone please explain to me the neccisity for removing those for links from an already short page. Thanks Jacknife737

You can refer to this entry to see why some of those links may not be acceptable. As someone who knows a member of the band, it's safe to say the band is done. That's not to say there will never be a show again, but the band is not running the MySpace page. If anything, maybe someone at SideOneDUmmy is running it. The entry is short and I'm hoping to rewrite a lot of it with an article from the Goldmine newspaper that gives a very detailed history from the beginning to the release of Let's Face It. John

Cool, however my point is, that it mentions under the Hiatus section that the band's offical website is located at the Side One Dummy website, i just feel since the site is mentioned, there should be a link to it. Well, do what you feel is right. After checking out the Side One Dummy site, I agree that it has enough content to be added. The worst that can happen is someone deletes it again. If you feel that strongly, try to find someone that will mediate the issue for you. John
