[edit] VP candidate's home state

The article states that the GOP's VP candidate was mentioned only in passing, and that it was so "in passing" that you couldn't even determine the guy's home state...so, how does the table illustrating the electoral vote figure out that the guy was from Utah? It was said in the Season 7 episode "Election Night" that no Democrat had carried North Dakota in 40 years. Therefore, the list of states carried is not correct. - Jord 15:24, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

Indeed, it is perhaps a stretch to spell out the states won when they were not explicitly spelled out on the air and then there is the question of continuity. I'll remove that section. - Jord 18:37, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

No, watch season four Election night, Bartlet says he carried BOTH dakotas, and both carolinas.

This seems possible, like Hawaii in Nixon-Kennedy. Although the results were contested it didn't affect the overall result of the election so it didn't recieve heavy coverage. However, the list as a whole was still pretty fancrufty as much wasn't justified in episodes. Staxringold 14:20, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

It is not fancruft, watch the two election night episodes from season 4, the map they had on here earlier was accurate.

the TV maps clearly show Bartlet winning both carolinas, both dakotas, nebraska, Montana, Missouri, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Virginia, WV, all of the northeast, all of the great lakes including Indiana, and all of the west coast and great plains minus utah, wyoming and Idaho.

Bring back the map from before, sometimes writing errors happen, but Bartlet won both dakotas it was even mentioned in dialogue.
