[edit] Karman was Jewish
I am unable to understand the last edit. There are abundant references that he was Jewish:
- Amazon.com "Theodore von Karman, a Jewish immigrant and pioneer in aviation and space science"
- Theodore von Karman in his own words "A native Jewish Hungarian"
- In Encyclopaedia Judaica, list of Jewish mathematicians, art. "Mathematics"
- "The National Medal of Science has only now been conferred on Dr. Theodore von Karman, a Jewish scientist who emigrated to America from Hungary in 1930." Jewish Chronicle, March 1 1963, p.18.
- [1] "Theodore von Karman, born to a middle-class Jewish family"
- JINFO list of Jewish physicists
- Air Force Magazine "Theodore von Karman was a third son, born to a middle-class Jewish family in Budapest"
