The Berenstain Bears and the New Girl in Town is a chapter book written by Stan and Jan Berenstain.
[edit] Plot synopsis
An ancient feud in Bear Country between the Bear and Grizzly clans has resurfaced and it couldn't have happened at a worse time, because a new female cub has recently transferred to Bear Country School and her name is Bonnie Brown, and what's more she's Squire Grizzlys niece. During her first day at the school, she ends up befriending Brother who has developed a crush on her and vice versa it seems as well, but will the ancient feud between the clans destroy the friendship before it gets started?
Only a school rendition of Romeo and Juliet can answer that question, for it helps both clans realize what could happen if they continue to feud with one another. It works and in the end Brother and Bonnie are able to continue with their friendship with the feud over and peace restored in Bear Country.
