The Blackout Pact was a post-hardcore band from Denver, Colorado. They formed in the early summer of 2003. Some of their influences consist of: Hot Water Music, Small Brown Bike, Alkaline Trio, The Lawrence Arms, and Murder City Devils.

In October of 2004, Geoff Rickly (Thursday frontman, co-owner of Astro Magnetics) signed The Blackout Pact to the indie label Astro Magnetics. Geoff Rickly also produced their first CD Hello Sailor.
November 2006, As reported on their Myspace, The Blackout Pact have decided to call it quits due to some mistakes of the band members. It is undecided what the rest of the band will do at this point.
The band keeps updates on some band members concerning their musical careers on their myspace page.
