The Blue Veil is a 1951 film drama made by Wald/Krasna Productions and RKO Radio Pictures. The film was directed by Curtis Bernhardt and produced by Jerry Wald and Norman Krasna with Raymond Hakim as associate producer. The screenplay was by Norman Corwin from the story by François Campaux.
It stars Jane Wyman, Charles Laughton, Joan Blondell, Richard Carlson, Agnes Moorehead, Audrey Totter, Cyril Cusack, Natalie Wood, Vivian Vance, Dan O'Herlihy and Harry Morgan.
The film tells the story of a child torn between the competing claims of his birth mother versus his adoptive mother.
It was nominated for Academy Awards for Best Actress in a Leading Role (Jane Wyman) and Best Actress in a Supporting Role (Joan Blondell).
