The Citadel Mall
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Citadel Mall is one of the major shopping malls of Colorado Springs. It opened in 1972. Acquired by The Rouse Company in 1980, in 1997 it was sold to The Macerich Company, a California-based company. In late 2003, the mall was sold to Midwest Mall Properties LLC, a private investor group, which retained Macerich as management company. Although much of the mall interior has been remodeled since its opening, the exterior retains its '70's style.
