The Concerts in China (concert)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Concerts in China were a series of concerts by Jean Michel Jarre.
Jarre was invited to be the first western musician to perform concerts in post-Mao China. A tour with estimated 120,000 spectators was held in China, 2 times in Beijing and 3 times in Shanghai during autumn 1981.[citations needed]
Due to the low sound quality recorded, the tracks were enhanced when the double live album The Concerts in China was released. In 1989, a VHS release with clips from the concerts was made.
