The Confessions Tour is Madonna's second live album. Recorded during her highly successful 2006 Confessions Tour, the album was a bonus to the DVD release of Madonna's Confessions Tour - Live from London special, directed by Jonas Åkerlund and originally aired on NBC in the United States. The concert was recorded during the concert in Wembley Arena in London on August 15 and 16, 2006, the latter being Madonna's forty-eighth birthday.

The album features 13 live tracks taken from the tour, with a majority of the songs coming from Madonna's 2005 Confessions on a Dance Floor album. It also has many tracks missing, that fans would like to have on the live CD, the most wanted are "Live to Tell"¹ ³ and "Get Together"⁴ . The album also features a number of classic Madonna songs, including "Like a Virgin", "Lucky Star", and the first appearance of the "You Thrill Me" version of "Erotica" on a Madonna album.

The release is available in DVD+CD (2-Disc CD Digipack), DVD (1-disc DVD only [Amaray Standard Case]. - outside U.S. and Canada) and Digital Download format (with bonus live tracks "Ray of Light" and "Get Together").

The album was banned in Singapore and Malaysia.^{[citation needed]}
