The Daylights are a pop-rock band from Los Angeles, California that formed in 2004. The trio is fronted by brothers Ran Jackson and Ricky Jackson, with Adam Farley on Drums.
They have released their first EP "Shift and Blur" independently in 2004 and were planning to release the next EP "The Propaganda" later that summer, but it was never released.
The band signed to Epic Records by way of the Daylight Records imprint in 2006. The band spent the bulk of the year writing in advance of their major label debut, to be released in 2007.

- The Daylights are one of four bands signed by longtime A&R executive David Massey that feature a pair of brothers; The others are: Oasis, The Jonas Brothers, and Good Charlotte.
- David Massey, the A&R executive who signed the band is himself a twin; As are the brothers in Good Charlotte.
