The Dusty Chaps (band)

The Dusty Chaps was a honky tonk band based in Tucson, AZ in the mid 1970s and early 1980s. They released two albums: Honky Tonk Music (1977) and Domino Joe (1978). Band members included Peter Gierlach (vocals, accordion); George Hawke (bass, acoustic guitar, background vocals); Pat McAndrew (electric guitar); Leonardo Lopez (drums, percussion); Steve Solomon (keyboards, saxophone, clarinet, vibes); Bill Emrie (violin); Red Davidson (piano, accordion, vibes, marimba); and Ted Hockenbury (pedal steel guitar).
The original pedal steel guitar player was Neil Harry, who later played with Chuck Wagon and the Wheels and recorded with Howe Gelb of Giant Sand.
