The Farm (recording studio)

The Farm is the recording studio of the English progressive rock band Genesis. The studio is located in Chiddingfold, Surrey, England. Genesis has recorded every album since Abacab in this studio. Phil Collins has recorded quite a few albums there as well.
The Farm was built in 1980, that was right before Genesis recorded their album Abacab. The Farm sits in a structure which was originally a cowshed. It had been re-modeled into a studio before Genesis recorded Abacab. It resides in an area which was farmland, hence The Farm. In 1985, a new control room was added to the building, leaving it's original control room to be an editing room.
