The Goldhawks (band)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Goldhawks are a Mid-'80's West London-based R&B band, notable for playing on during a near-riot at a Leiscester Square anti-nuke demonstration on March 15, 1983, while other acts refused to play. The Goldhawks 40 minute high-energy set was a factor in keeping the violence to a minimum until police could regain control of the situation. (The Times, 16 March, 1983)
