The Great Vegetable Rebellion

The Great Vegetable Rebellion was an episode of the CBS series Lost in Space. First shown on February 28, 1968, it was the penultimate episode of the final season and arguably the best segment in the show's history. The episode features a planet of sentient, talking vegetables, notably a large carrot called Tybo who captures Dr. Smith and turns him into a stalk of celery. Tybo was played by Stanley Adams, who periodically declares, "Moisture, moisture! I must have moisture!" and then douses himself with a hose-fed water dispenser that strongly resembles a 20th century gasoline pump. Tybo's attempts to convert the rest of the cast into vegetables is thwarted by turning off the water supply.
