The Meridian Star is a seven-day morning daily newspaper published in Meridian, Mississippi, USA, covering Lauderdale County and adjoining portions of Alabama and Mississippi. It is owned by Community Newspaper Holdings Inc.
Founded as The Evening Star in 1898, the paper was renamed The Meridian Star in 1915 but continued to publish in the afternoon until early 2005. It has been Meridian's only newspaper since 1921.[2]
