The Mode are a four-piece indie rock band from Glasgow, Scotland.
In a short period of time, the band have notched up over 100 gigs [1] in venues, all across the UK. The unique sound of The Mode, was first captured in February 2005, when they played their first gig, and have thus built up a large following.
They have also played in some of the most popular venues in Britain, playing at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow, Jabez Clegg in Manchester and the world-famous Cavern Club in Liverpool, well-known for The Beatles making their first ever appearance there in 1961.
The band have also had great reviews, and plenty of airplay on local and national radio stations, most notably XFM Scotland's previous incarnation Beat 106, and their new music presenter Jim Gellatly.
The Mode then released a debut EP called The Line on October 13, 2005. It went on to sell more than 1000 copies, which isn't that bad for a band who had no record label at the time.
Debut single, Russia, was released on May 8, 2006, and again sold quite a few copies.
2007 sees the first UK tour by The Mode, and will see them become bigger than they already are.
