Johnny Goodlittle (Johnny Arthur), a clerk for an insurance company and aspiring detective, gets inside an insane asylum while investigating a disappearance. Here, he finds out that Ziska (Lon Chaney), one of the dangerous patients, has taken over the asylum. Now Ziska has caught Betty (Gertrude Olmstead), Johnny's romantic interest, and wants to conduct mad experiments on her.
