The Murp

The Murp is a rock drummer from Lodi, New Jersey. He played drums for the American heavy metal project Kryst The Conqueror from the band's inception in 1987 until 1992, when he was replaced by Dr. Chud.
He is credited as the drummer on both the unreleased Deliver Us From Evil LP and the Deliver Us From Evil EP. Since the band never performed live, and there seems to be no known promotional photos of the band's lineup, little is known about The Murp.
The Murps only known public appearance with Kryst the Conqueror, took place on October 31, 1988, when he, along with fellow band mates Jerry Only and Doyle, appeared at the Creation Convention at the Penta Hotel in New York City. Afterwards, the band went to Tower Records for an autograph signing session.
After being replaced by Dr. Chud, The Murp vanished from the public eye. However, in July of 2006, Dr. Chud announced that The Murp would be drumming for his horror rock band, Dr. Chud's X-Ward, during their annual Halloween tour. According to Dr. Chud, it is the first time that band will feature a lineup consisting entirely of Lodi, New Jersey natives.
