[edit] History
Having produced Australia's first podcast ("G'Day World" on November 26, 2004), Reilly and Stanic also produced the world's first "Skypecast" by recording individual sides of a Skype call and stitching them together in post-production. Joining them for the launch of TPN on Valentine's Day were Richard Giles and Ewan Spence, bringing together The Gadget Show and The Mobiles Show podcasts respectively.
Mark Hunter, previously signed with PodShow, joined TPN in March 2006 with The Mellow Monday Show.
Mick Stanic announced on his personal blog that he had left TPN on May 19, 2006, as his presence was holding back both the growth of TPN and his own life.[1]
Brian Ibbott (from the Coverville podcast) joined TPN in October 2006 bringing with him the podcast Today in Music History [2].
On October 31, 2006, TPN announced a pilot joint production with Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation, launching an entertainment gossip podcast called 'Showbuzz'.
[edit] Awards
2005 saw The Edinburgh Fringe Show nominated for a Scottish BAFTA Award for Interactive Media [3]. In December 2006, The Podcast Network was selected by EContent Magazine as one of their Top 100 "companies that matter most in the digital content industry". [4].
