The Rugbys

The Rugbys is a rock band from Louisville, Kentucky. They are best known for their US top 40 hit "You, I".

The band was formed in 1968 and released two singles later that year, "Walking on the Streets" and "Till the Day I Die". The songs garnered the band enough attention to be signed to Amazon Records. Amazon released the single "You, I" in 1969, and the song became a national hit. Later that year, the band released their only album Hot Cargo. "Wendegahl the Warlock" was the follow-up single to "You, I", but it did not chart, and the group became a one hit wonder. Hot Cargo would be later released on CD along with and album by a group named Lazarus. The band still performs, playing mostly cover songs, particularly songs by the Beatles.
