The Science of Things is an album made by the post-grunge band Bush in the year 1999, released by Trauma Records. The album has many electronic influences and sold worse than its predecessors, reaching platinum sales (1 million) and #11 in the US.

- In an interview [1] Rossdale revealed that the song "Letting the Cables Sleep" was written for a friend who had contracted HIV. This song was aired in the season 6 episode of ER entitled "Such Sweet Sorrow" and marks the final appearances of George Clooney and Julianna Marguilles.
- Apocalyptica has remixed their song "Letting the Cables Sleep".
- "Spacetravel" features backing vocals by Rossdale's wife, Gwen Stefani.
